Dekyi is a stylish Khampa girl doll, beautifully handcrafted by artisan Rani through Dolls4Tibet. Her traditional long chupa coat, edged in colourful brocade and is held together with a red silken belt, showcasing the intricate craftsmanship of Tibetan culture. Underneath, she wears a lovely shirt, trousers, and felt boots, all finely detailed. Her two tiny plaits are adorned with small beads, clasped into a ponytail, adding authenticity and charm to her appearance.
Filled with 100% sheep’s wool, Dekyi is made with care and can be gently handwashed to preserve her beauty. All of her garments are removable, offering opportunities for interactive play or display.
Inspired by Rudolf Steiner's educational philosophy, Dekyi encourages imagination and creativity, responding to the unique needs of children in a holistic way. Dolls4Tibet provides valuable work and training opportunities for Tibetan and Indian women, empowering them to create these unique artisan dolls while preserving cultural traditions.
A perfect piece for decor, play, or as a treasured keepsake, Dekyi embodies the spirit of Tibetan heritage.
